(What's) the Matter with Method?

In recent years the question pertaining to the “how and what” of the artistic method seems to have been brought back to the attention. Increasingly more directors and choreographers are investigating their own methodology.

Interestingly, the research into the artistic method is – and always was – a meeting place where methods and techniques from the world of theatre and dance are confronted with knowledge from other disciplines. It is a space were artists, scientists and researchers go to rummage in each other’s kitchen, in search of new recipes.

(What’s) the Matter with Method attempts to map out this renewed quest for method and examines the interaction between the different forms of knowledge processing.

During this colloquium, there are lecture performances, performances, installations, exhibition, ....
